Tony Award 2023 Nonimations Announced!


Nomations for the annual Tony Awards were announced this morning over on the Great White Way for productions in the 2022-2023 Broadway season. Actors Lea Michele and Myles Frost revealed the full list of nominees with the most nominations going to new musicals such as Some Like It Hot (13), Shucked (9), & Juliet (9), New York, New York (9) and Kimberly Akimbo (8). The most new play nominations included Leopoldstadt (6), Ain't No Mo' (6), Fat Ham (5) and Cost of Living (5); and the most nominations for best revival of musical included Sweeney Todd (8), Parade (6), Into the Woods (6) and A Doll's House (6).


The Tony Awards ceremony, will be hosted by Academy Award Winner Ariana DeBose this year at the historic United Palace in Washington Heights on Sunday, June 11, 2023. The event can be watched live throughout the country by premium subscribers to the streaming service Paramount+ for those of us not in the U.S.
