5 STARS

- Five-star entertainment that promises to delight, enchant, and send sultry chills down your spine -

As October draws to a close, the spoooookiest time of year is upon us, and Bass Fam Collective (Matador, Oracle) are here to formally invite you into MANSION. A world where chilling horror meets tantalising burlesque, in a realm where death and desire dance in sultry entanglement, this is something set to electrify your evenings this Halloween season.

Utilising their finely tuned blend of hypnotic dance, steamy burlesque and inspired acrobatics, Bass Fam create a chilling world inside Sydney’s Spiegeltent with choreography that will both entice and make the hairs on your arms stand on edge.

The story unfolds with Mel Walker, recently widowed after her husband's tragic car accident, moving into an inherited mansion with her two children in search of a fresh start. Little do they know, the mansion is haunted by the vengeful spirit of a woman with a haunting backstory. Soon, the spirit of their father and other eerie apparitions make their presence felt, haunting the Walker family.

From the outset, MANSION transports the audience into its own otherworldly realm within the Spiegeltent, offering an immersive experience distinct from the Entertainment Quarter. Masked phantoms move about the audience, appearing in unexpected corners, eliciting both screams of fear and delight as they hover, crawl, and entwine themselves around the stage.

This five-star entertainment promises to delight, enchant, and send sultry chills down your spine.

The use of smoke and lighting make strikingly stunning visuals throughout. The show's myriad individual moments leave a lasting imprint, delivering a captivating blend of horror and sensuality. Burlesque dancers gracefully float above the stage, defying gravity with their incredible strength, while the choreography on the ground is precise and elastic, blurring the lines between the living and the supernatural.

Make the most of your evening and wet your palette with the pre-show WITCH, which brings you into the world of the mansion inhabited by Witches before they’re shooed out to make way for the main event. This is the perfect appetizer before the main course as artists quite literally fly around the stage by their hair, or wrap themselves dazzlingly around a floating moon before gliding through smoke and disappearing entirely.

MANSION is a captivating experience that will leave you spellbound this Halloween season.
